BiliFull Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

This policy explains what personal data BiliFull collects when you use the BiliFull app and https://bilifull.com, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

Who is responsible for your data: BiliFull is run by Martynas Labanauskas, a private individual (not a registered company), who is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: bilifull@bilifull.com.

1. What we collect

  • Account information: your name or username, email address, password (stored encrypted), and optional profile photo and bio. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them. With Apple, you can choose to hide your email.
  • Location: with your permission, we use your device’s location while the app is open. We use it to show nearby venues and posts, to check that you’re near a venue when you confirm or correct a beer price, add a venue photo or report a venue as closed, and to suggest places when you post. We do not track your location in the background. To find venues near you (for example for “Are you at this venue?”), your location is sent to our servers with the request but isn’t stored; whether you’re at a venue is worked out on your phone.
  • Content you create: posts (photos, captions, venue, rating), comments, likes, reviews, beer-price confirmations and corrections, venue photos, and reports that a venue has closed; who you follow, block and tag.
  • Venue photos: you can add a photo of a venue. It’s taken with your camera at the venue (never from your photo library), and we use your location to check you’re there. Faces in it are blurred automatically before it’s saved. It then becomes the venue’s photo, shown to everyone. We keep a record of who added which photo, for moderation.
  • Skills and leaderboards: when you check beer prices, review venues or list new venues, we record the XP you earn, which venue it was for and when. Your skill levels and BiliFull level are shown on your profile, and you appear on leaderboards (near you, in your country and worldwide) with the XP you earned there, unless you turn this off in Settings.
  • Private messages: text messages, photos, voice messages, GIFs and shared posts you send in chats.
  • Device and technical data: your device’s push notification token, so we can send you notifications, and basic technical information, such as your IP address and app version, which our servers log when your device connects. We also record when you last used the app and your phone’s time zone, so reminders arrive at a sensible time (see section 2). If the app crashes, a crash report is sent: your device model, operating system and app version, and technical details of what the app was doing at the time. It doesn’t include your messages or photos.
  • Advertising data: to show ads, Google AdMob collects your device’s advertising ID (if available), IP address, approximate location, and how you interact with the ads. It also records your consent choices (see section 4).
  • On our website (bilifull.com): only if you click Accept on the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and see how the site is used. If you decline or ignore the banner, it doesn’t run. A small cookie remembers your choice.
  • Stored only on your phone: saved posts and some app preferences stay on your device and aren’t sent to us.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide the app: your profile, the feed, venues and prices, maps, posts, comments, chats, notifications, and skills, levels and leaderboards.
  • To keep BiliFull safe: our automated checks screen public photos and text before they appear (see section 3). We also review reports from users, and we block or remove content and accounts that break our rules. BiliFull staff may also look at any post, including posts from private accounts, to keep the app safe.
  • To send you notifications: about activity involving you (such as likes, comments, follows and messages), weekend notifications, and occasional reminders when you haven’t used the app for a while (at most once a week). You can turn weekend notifications and reminders off in Settings → Notifications, and all notifications in your device settings.
  • To show ads, which keep BiliFull free (see section 4).
  • To fix problems and improve the app.
  • To comply with the law.

Legal basis (GDPR): we process most data because it’s needed to provide the service you signed up for. Safety checks, app improvements and reminders are based on our legitimate interest in running a safe, working app and keeping you up to date with it. Location, camera, microphone, photo library and notifications are only used with your permission. You can withdraw it at any time in your device settings. Personalised ads are only shown with your consent (section 4).

3. Automated content checks

  • Photos you post publicly (posts, profile photos and venue photos) are automatically checked by Amazon Rekognition, a moderation service from Amazon Web Services. The check looks for nudity, violence, weapons, hate symbols and self-harm. If a photo looks sexual or suggestive, the faces in it are also checked for anyone who may be a minor. Faces are only analysed to estimate age and to blur them in venue photos. We never use them to recognise who someone is. Any text shown in a photo is checked for harmful language.
  • Post captions, comments, and your name and bio are checked for harmful language by OpenAI’s moderation service.
  • Venue reviews are not checked: say what you think of a venue. You can report a review, and we only remove reviews that are clearly illegal (such as threats, hate speech or someone’s private details).
  • Content that fails the check isn’t published. A person can review the decision if you contact us.
  • Private messages are not automatically scanned. Instead, you can report or block anyone who sends you something inappropriate.

4. Ads

BiliFull is free and paid for by ads. Some posts in your feed are ads, always marked “Sponsored”. The ads are provided by Google AdMob.

  • Your choice (EEA, UK and Switzerland): before any ads load, the app asks for your consent. If you consent, Google and its ad partners may use data such as your advertising ID and approximate location to show ads that are more relevant to you and to measure how they perform. If you don’t consent, you’ll see limited, non-personalised ads, and your data is not used for personalisation.
  • Change your mind any time: open Settings → Privacy Choices in the app to change or withdraw your consent.
  • Ad partners: the consent message lists Google’s ad partners that may receive your data. Google’s use of data is described in its privacy policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
  • iPhone tracking permission: on iPhone, BiliFull asks you once, using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether it may use your device’s advertising ID. If you tap Allow, Google may use it to show you more relevant ads. If you tap “Ask App Not to Track”, it isn’t used, and the app works the same either way.
  • Device settings: you can also reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone’s settings (iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
  • We don’t show ads for alcohol or gambling.

Legal basis: personalised ads are based on your consent. Showing non-personalised ads, and preventing ad fraud, are based on our legitimate interest in funding the app.

5. Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with providers who help us run BiliFull, and only as much as they need:

Venue information: many venues’ names, addresses and opening hours come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence) and are checked against Overture Maps. We only receive this public data from them; we don’t send them any of yours.

Other people on BiliFull: your profile, posts, comments, reviews and ratings are visible to other users, subject to your account’s privacy settings. Your skill levels, BiliFull level and leaderboard places are visible to other users too, including for private accounts, unless you turn leaderboards off in Settings. Your chat messages are visible to the person you’re chatting with.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect people’s safety.

6. Transfers outside the EEA

Most of our data is stored in the EU/EEA. Some providers, such as Google, Apple, Meta, Cloudflare, OpenAI, SendGrid (Twilio) and KLIPY, may process data in other countries, including the USA. When they do, the transfer is protected by the EU’s approved safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, posts and their photos, comments, likes, reviews and ratings, price votes, your XP and levels, reports you filed, notifications, follows, and the messages, photos and voice messages you’ve sent. Venue photos you added stay as the venue’s photo, without the record of who took them. Messages other people sent you stay in their own conversations. When we remove a post for breaking our rules, it disappears from the app straight away. Its photos and clips are kept privately for 90 days as evidence, for example for a complaint or a request from the police, and then deleted. When you delete a post, its photos and clips are deleted from our storage straight away, unless it has been reported, in which case we keep them privately for 90 days. If you delete your account while one of your posts is reported or has been removed for breaking our rules, we keep that post privately for 90 days as evidence, then delete it. Password-reset codes are deleted after a day. Backups and server logs are deleted on a rolling basis.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it (data portability), and withdraw any consent you’ve given. For ads, you can do this yourself in Settings → Privacy Choices.

You can edit your profile in the app, and delete your account in Settings. For anything else, email bilifull@bilifull.com. We’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no), or to the data protection authority where you live.

9. Age limit

BiliFull is only for people 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor is using BiliFull, contact us and we’ll delete the account.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we’ll inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Changes to this policy

When we make changes, we’ll update the date at the top. We’ll tell you in the app about significant changes.

BiliFull Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 27, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the BiliFull app and https://bilifull.com. BiliFull is run by Martynas Labanauskas (contact: bilifull@bilifull.com). By creating an account or using BiliFull, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use BiliFull

  • You must be 18 or older, and old enough to legally buy alcohol where you live.
  • You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your login details safe. Use your own identity: don’t pretend to be someone else.

2. Your content

  • You’re responsible for everything you post or send: posts, photos, captions, comments, reviews, ratings, venue submissions, price updates, and messages, including photos, voice messages and GIFs.
  • You keep ownership of your content. By posting it, you give BiliFull a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, display and share it within the app, as needed to run BiliFull. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users already shared, or that we must keep by law.
  • Only post photos you have the right to share. Photos of venues belong to their respective owners; if you’d like a photo removed, contact us at bilifull@bilifull.com.
  • Venue photos: only add a photo you took yourself at that venue. It becomes the venue’s photo, shown to everyone. Because a venue photo shows the place, not you, it stays with the venue if you delete your account (without your name), and your licence to us for it continues. Faces are blurred automatically.

3. What’s not allowed

BiliFull has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don’t post or send anything that is:

  • sexually explicit, including unwanted explicit photos in private messages,
  • harassing, threatening, bullying, hateful or discriminatory,
  • violent, or promoting self-harm or dangerous behaviour,
  • illegal, or infringing other people’s rights (such as copyright or privacy),
  • false or misleading, including made-up prices, fake venues or fake reviews,
  • spam, scams or unauthorised advertising.

Also don’t try to break, overload or misuse the app, or to access other people’s accounts or data.

4. Moderation, reporting and blocking

  • Public photos and text are automatically checked before they appear (see our Privacy Policy above). Private messages are not automatically scanned.
  • You can report posts, venue reviews and people you chat with, and block other users. We review reports and act on objectionable content, normally within 24 hours. We may also review any post, including from private accounts, and remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. If we remove your post, we’ll tell you in the app. You can report a post for copyright too.
  • You can report a venue that has closed down while you’re there. When several people do, we hide it from the map. We may add, update, hide or remove venues to keep the map accurate.
  • We may remove content, reject venue submissions, restrict features, or suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or harm the experience for others.

5. Drink responsibly

BiliFull is for discovering venues and sharing experiences, not for encouraging excessive drinking. Please drink responsibly, follow local laws, and never drink and drive.

6. Venue information and prices

Venue details, beer prices and currency conversions come largely from users and are checked through community confirmations. For many venues, details come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) and Overture Maps. We work to keep them accurate, but we can’t guarantee that any information is correct or up to date. We don’t endorse any venue. Always check prices and opening hours at the venue.

7. Skills, XP and leaderboards

You earn XP and levels in BiliFull’s skills (Inspector, Critic and Explorer) by checking beer prices, reviewing venues and listing new ones, and the higher your level in a skill, the more XP you earn in it. XP, levels, badges and leaderboard places are just for fun: they have no money value, can’t be bought, sold or transferred, and don’t give you any rights. Earning XP never requires buying or drinking alcohol.

We may change how XP is earned, including how much each activity gives. We may remove XP, levels or leaderboard places gained by breaking these terms, for example with fake reviews, made-up prices, price votes from somewhere you weren’t, or several accounts, and we may correct them if something goes wrong on our side.

8. Other services

Some features use other services, such as maps, GIF search (KLIPY) and sharing to Instagram and Snapchat. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to how you use them.

Ads: BiliFull is free and shows ads from Google AdMob, marked “Sponsored”. We don’t control or endorse what advertisers offer. How ad data is used, and your choices, are described in our Privacy Policy above.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app’s Settings. What happens to your data is described in our Privacy Policy above. We may also close accounts that break these terms.

10. Liability

BiliFull is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by content from other users or by venues. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continued use after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by Norwegian law.
